Optimizing Waste-to-Energy Initiatives: The Role of GraniteFuel’s SRT in Kawartha Lakes’ Lindsay Landfill Project

Kawartha Lakes’ Lindsay Landfill decided to proceed with a landfill waste-to-energy project to utilize otherwise flared methane produced from the decomposition of organic waste. GraniteFuel provided a key system that helps protect the engine from damaging siloxanes present in the gas stream. With these siloxanes removed, the engine is able to operate more efficiently and the cost of maintenance is drastically reduced relative to operating on untreated gas.
