Future-Proofing the Decatur Landfill: GraniteFuel’s Advanced Siloxane Removal System Ensures Longevity and Efficiency for New Engines

The Decatur Landfill has been in operation for over 20 years with the majority of electricity generated being delivered to the utility’s grid to supply local homes and businesses. In anticipation of replacing the sites two engines with newer models, the developer that built and operates the station also wanted to implement a siloxane removal system to protect the investment in the new engines and reduce the service requirements for the Decatur Landfill site. GraniteFuel was contracted to implement a siloxane removal system to reduce the siloxane levels of the gas stream and the frequency of service required.

Pressure Drop: <0.9 PSI at 600 scfm gas flow
